Stories that shape us: ABC Kids Early Education and the power of reflective media engagement
Biography: Laura Stone is the Early Childhood Education Producer at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and leads ABC Kids Early Education, a free online destination with curriculum-aligned resources for the Australian early education and care sector. Laura builds collaborative opportunities for early learning and educator engagement through world-class ABC Children’s video and audio content, along with accompanying written teaching and learning materials. Engaging her skills and knowledge as an early childhood teacher and early years consultant, Laura works together with teams at ABC Kids Originals and ABC Kids Commissioning and Development to contribute a valuable early childhood perspective to the ABC Kids slate. Laura is motivated by partnerships and research opportunities with subject matter specialists to ensure excellent early childhood messaging is embedded in all facets of engaging and entertaining ABC Kids media.
